 Carolyn Seeliger, Owner.... Located at 907 Main Street in beautiful downtown Winfield, Field to Fabric Quilt Co. is recognizable by the 3 barn quilts on the shop front. Visitors and shoppers are always welcome to come in, shop for a current or future project, watch the longarm machines stitching, check out the full-size cotton bale, and view all the samples on display in “The Great Hall of Quilts.”

Carolyn’s husband and her father-in-law were instrumental in bringing the production of cotton to Kansas in the early 1980’s. Their son joined the farming operation after college and together they continue to raise and harvest cotton every year. Local farmers worked to build a cotton gin in the area and continue to be active in the Southern Kansas Cotton Growers Association as well. Carolyn has recently been appointed to serve as an alternate on the U.S. Cotton Board.

Field to Fabric Quilt Co. carries a wide selection of 100% cotton fabrics along with sewing notions, precuts, patterns, and quilting books. The shop is especially proud to offer solids of “American Made Brand,” woven with U.S. grown cotton. Theoretically, some of the cotton grown on their farm could be woven into any of the fabric in the shop. “Sew” the business is, literally, from field to fabric.

 Lisa Johnson, Owner...On August 5th 2005 Picket Fence Quilt Company first opened its doors at the corner of Ridge Road and Maple Street in west Wichita. Nine years later we moved the store 1 mile north to its current location at Ridge Road and Central Ave where will be celebrating our 20th year in business.

Over the years we have built up an inventory of beautiful quality quilting fabrics from the top fabric companies. We have on display at least 100 different quilting models for your inspiration and teach classes on the latest and also the tried and true techniques for your projects.

Karna Lackey, Owner... Second and Main has been a quilting destination for over 27 years. In 2019, Karna Lackey opened Sew In 2 Quilts in the same location that had been Cottonwood Quilts. Sew In 2 Quilts has a great selection of fabrics with over 4,000 bolts. You will find a large selection of batiks and 108” wide back fabrics as well. The store has 2 Gammill Statler Computerized Longarm Quilting Machines, which allows for a quicker turnaround on quilts. Located in the historic Whiteside Building a large classroom with amazing natural light, spaces for 16 to sew and 6 large 8’ x 8’ design walls can be booked for daytime quilting retreats.
